In the near future the Committee of Arbiters of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) may be headed by a foreign expert. According to the president of FFU Hryhori Surkis, there are already negotiations with several candidates.
One of the contenders for this position is a former FIFA arbiter Markus Merk from Germany, Korrespondent reports.
A German, 48 once refereed the World Championships and European Championships, Olympic Games, the finals of the Champions League and six times was recognized the best arbiter of his country.
Previously was reported that Markus Merk took the second place in the ranking of the best arbiters of the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
