Russia blackmailed president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev and tried to make him not recognize Holodomor (Great Famine in 30s) as genocide against Ukrainian people, according to the documents posted by Wikileaks.
According to the documents, Ilham Aliev told the British Prince Andrew about this. "Aliev received a document from president Medvedev (Dmitrii Medvede, president of the Russian Federation – editor.), which indicated that if Azerbaijan recognized the Bolshevik artificial famine in Ukraine as "genocide" in the UN, then you would forget about the Nagornyi Karabakh at all" – Ukrainskaya prava cites the document as saying.
Prince Andrew confirmed that other presidents received appropriate "directions" from Moscow, and asked the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, if she knew about those same messages addressed to Bakiev (Kurmanbek Bakiev – president of Kyrgystan – editor.) However, the ambassador did not know about it.
Previously, on November 28, the website Wikileaks published the secret documents of the U.S. government, telling about the reports that U.S. embassies were sending to Washington.
Wikileaks is the international social networking project. It was opened on November 29, 2006 by a group of enthusiasts. The main representative of the organization is Julian Assange, who, according to some reports, was a hacker in youth and cracked computers of the firms and organizations. He was particularly interested in the Pentagon.
Nagornyi Karabakh is a disputed autonomous territory between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In 90-s in the past century as a result of war and Russia's support Armenians took control of Nagornyi Karabakh and several border areas of Azerbaijan's territory.
