The Western Union Company is making consultations with the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to settle the questions which were raised to the service which was provided by the company since July 2009 to send remittances in hryvnas abroad.
"In accordance with new requirements of the NBU, Western Union will provide the mandatory fixing currency payment and currency conversion rate", - is stated in the company's announcement on Monday.
Western Union reminds that on 10 December the National Bank demanded to fix exchange conversion rate.
According to the existing scheme, rate of conversion was informed to the sender, if he wanted the recipient to get the transfer in dollars, but if the sender got payment in another currency, the final cross-rate was unknown to the sender.
Western Union also notes that other services (payment of remittances in the territory of Ukraine in U.S. dollars, hryvnia, from some countries in the Euros, as well as sending remittances in U.S. dollars), are provided as usual, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
