‘Mini-subway’ will be built in Ukraine towards the Euro 2012 between Makeevka and Donbas Arena stadium, according to Vice Rector of Donbas National Academy of Construction and Architecture, Volodymyr Muschanov.
"The best scientific and student staff of our academy headed by the rector Evhen Horokhov worked at the development of the project. Experts from different directions, eight university departments were involved into work. It is economic and environmental project, which is essential for our region," – RBC-Ukraine cites Volodymyr Muschanov as saying.
According to him, the project is a ground overpass from Donbas Arena to the Pionerskyi park in Makeyevka with the length 14 km. Such kind of transport can carry up to 5 thousand passengers during one hor. Every day tens thousands of Makeevka residents go to Donetsk at work, Mail.ru reports.
‘Mini-subway’ will relieve traffic on Makeevka highway and will reduce the time of travels. Developers have proposed some interesting ideas, including the establishment of the light-emitting diodes lamps with long life.
