President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has vetoed the Tax Code. He told about this today.
President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said that he has put a veto on the Tax Code, adopted previously by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. "Today, I have vetoed the Tax Code," - he said to journalists on Tuesday in the Boryspil airport before flying to Astana for a summit of OSCE.
Viktor Yanukovych said that the Government has established a working group on improvement of the Tax Code and amendments to the document might be sent to parliament on Thursday.
"We have agreed that the working group, which is now established by the Government with the participation of representatives of the President, with the participation of representatives of small and medium business today and tomorrow will work out amendments in the Tax Code, which will be considered by me on Thursday (on December 2). And if they meet the requirements, I will sign them and file into a parliament. Today I have put a veto, and I believe that the situation which is currently formed, is reasonable for us to create a real document that meets the objective to modernize the economy and to withdraw it out of the shadows"- RBC-Ukraine cites the President as saying.
Beginning the meeting with the economic bloc of the Government and the Presidential Administration at the airport Boryspil, Viktor Yanukovych said: "The Code should be modified in some sections, and I would like to hear from you about these concrete sections today," - said the President.
Viktor Yanukovych instructed the officials to work on sections of the Tax Code to be changed until Thursday. According to the President, it is necessary to modify the sections of the Tax Code, which relate to the protection of the rights of commodity producers and business.

Oleksandr Yefremov said that the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has not vetoed the Tax Code completely.
"This is a partial veto," - he said, adding that the President did not sign the Tax Code, but sent it to parliament without the signature with the relevant amendments.
