Oleksandr Popov will be appointed the head of the Kyiv city state administration the day after tomorrow, the MIGnews.com.ua correspondent cites the MP of the faction BYuT-Batkivschyna (Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko-Motherhood) Serhii Mischenko as saying.
He said that district councils of Kyiv will be liquidated tomorrow. However, the MP said that in connection with the adopted amendments to the law “On the capital” President of Ukraine has the right to appoint not the mayor of the city the head of the Kyiv city state administration.
"District councils will be liquidated in Kyiv tomorrow, and the next day Oleksandr Popov will be appointed head of the Kyiv city state administration. It is logical and predicted step", - said Serhii Mischenko.
He also said that it may happen if the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich will sign the law “On the capital of Ukraine - Kyiv hero-city" today, and then in this case it will be published in the newspaper Uriadovyi kurier.
