Idea of communists to fail: Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Tihipko?

Communist Party of Ukraine faction leader Petro Symonenko proposes to decide the issue with Vice Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Serhii Tihipko. He stated this during a meeting of the Conciliation Board, reports MIGnews.com.ua.

"As for the Tax Code, I make a proposal, and the Communists have repeatedly said this, to consider the responsibility of Tihipko since he started this venture, he held talks with the IMF (International Monetary Fund – editor.) and held it not in the public interest", - said Petro Symonenko.

In addition, members of the Communist Party offer to review the status of Ukraine's cooperation with the IMF. According to Petro Symonenko, IMF policy is associated with the morbid questions. "Let's change the status of cooperation with the IMF, or ask our citizens if they agree with such cooperation by public discussion or at a referendum," - he said.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn believes that the idea of the Communists to prosecute Serhii Tihipko will not be supported by the deputies. He said this at a briefing in parliament, reports MIGnews.com.ua.

"The government has not reacted on this statement of the Communists and of representatives of other factions as well. Therefore, I think that at this stage, this idea would not continue", - said Volodymyr Lytvyn.

Speaker of parliament also noted that this is the second time, when representatives of the Communist Party express a similar attitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Serhii Tihipko.
