The more the authorities delay with carrying out the pension reform and the less they consider the opinion of the people, the tougher will be its realization for the people, President of the Center for Economic Development Oleksandr Paskhaver has said.
The expert underscores that rasing the retirement age envisaged by the pension reform announced by the government is the necessity related to demographic processes.
"This takes place in the whole world. The question only concerns the fact how to do it: in a technocratic way - by ignoring the people, or socially - by constantly contacting them. The authorities should choose such a way for carrying out the reforms that social softeners came into force, which will allow the people to more easily undergo the reformation," the expert summed up.
Earlier, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova informed that the Cabinet will submit to the Verkhovna Rada the draft law on rasing the retirement age for women to 60 years.
Before that, Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Tihipko stated that till December 10, the Cabinet will submit the draft law to the Verkhovna Rada providing for the first stage of the pension reform. UKRINFORM
