Ukraine promises not to make gas disputes with Russia

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has reassured the Europeans that there will be no irregularities with gas and that Ukraine "will not fight with Russia because of gas” anymore.

"When I was making a trip to Austria, their Chancellor told me how much Europe had suffered because of the gas crisis, arranged in early 2009. This moment is still straining our relations with the countries to which Ukraine is transporting gas ... But I has assured Austria that Ukraine will ensure uninterrupted, reliable supply of gas, "- said the Prime Minister.

According to Mykola Azarov, he suggested a tripartite gas consortium, which would include Ukraine, Europe and Russia to ensure guarantees to the Europeans. Also, the Prime Minister said that he received a positive response from Austria regarding visa-free regime of Ukraine with this State and the establishment of a Free Trade Zone.

"Therefore, since we see Europe is interested in the cooperation with Ukraine, the government should make an effort to create a platform for cooperation," – Segodnya cites the head of the Cabinet of Ministers as saying.

However, he said again that the formula of Russian gas prices for our state is not a market one.
