A kidnapped student of the Institute of International Relations, Iryna Lazarenko, has been returned to her parents safe and unharmed, the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported.
The Main Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry continues to investigate a criminal case on Lazarenko's abduction. The investigators are establishing who was involved in the abduction. The police have not disclosed any further details of this case.
On May 28, 2010, in Kyiv, unknown persons kidnapped the 22-year-old student of the Institute of International Relations. Her boyfriend reported to the police about her disappearance. According to the police, Lazarenko arrived at the building of the institute in her own car, parked, and then on her way to the building disappeared. One of students of the institute told unknown persons pushed her into a white Mercedes minibus.
The Shevchenkivsky district department of Kyiv police opened a criminal case on the case under Article 146 of the Criminal Code (kidnapping). The young woman was returned to her parents on the night of December 1. Interfax-Ukraine
