Verkhovna Rada simplified life for businessmen

The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law aimed at simplifying the business environment in Ukraine. 349 MPs out of 432 who were registered made alterations to some laws on Tuesday.

The law is intended to reduce the requirements for capital of economic companies, to reduce the number of economic activities subject to licensing.

The abolition of licensing is envisaged only for those economic activities whose implementation does not violate the basic principles of state policy in the sphere of licensing, does not threaten the lives and health of citizens, environment and national security of the state.

The Law also proposes to consolidate the practice of long-term lease of state and municipal property for a period not less than 5 years.

In addition, the practice of issuing licenses for an unlimited time is planned to implement, but the government can establish time frames for a license for certain types of activities, but they should not be at the term less than 5 years, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
