The Pharmacological center of the Health Ministry of Ukraine is forming a black list of healthcare products that are sold in drugstores but may be dangerous for Ukrainians, reports Segodnya with reference to the State Pharmacological Center.

Recently the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has published the black list in the USA.

In particular, it contains medicine for schizophrenia Abilify (aripiprazole) made by U.S. company Bristol Myers Squibb Co. It has a high toxic effect on liver. Medicine for losing the weight Xenical (Roche Holding AG) may lead to bleeding, Lamisil (made by Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis AG), antifungal ointment - (high risk of psychiatric disorders), Diovan (Novartis AG) for people suffering from high pressure may lead to anemia, oral contraceptives Plan B (Postinor and Escapelle in Ukraine) made by Israeli company Teva Pharmaceutical Industries – high risk of loss of consciousness. Producers are not giving comments yet.

Doctors are saying many remedies out of the list are popular in Ukraine, especially Diovan, Postinor and Escapelle. They do not think it is dangerous to their patients’ health.
