Emergency! Sewage Runoffs to Reach Odessa!
Unrecognized Transdniester Republic has thrown sewage runoffs to the Dniester River; a dirty spot is moving to Odessa now. Workers are working hard on the sewage disposal plants of Ukraine to prevent drinking water from infection, “Deutsche Welle” reports. According to experts’ forecasts, spot a few kilometers in length will reach Odessa today. At the same time workers take measures at the sewage disposal plant in Odessa; particularly, they have already increased the level of water chlorination. Water pollution is not considerable, chief engineer Grigory Stepanchenko notes. Last year on the same occasion spot dissolved in the river and did not reach sewage disposal plant at all, Grigory Stepanchenko reminded. But workers take additional measures now to protect Odessa and satellite towns from danger. For the time being “TASIS” organization has not reacted on information about it. Last year it started water pollution monitoring in the river. Experts will check the nearest time whether flora and fauna of the Dniester River have suffered from water pollution. By RBC-Ukraina |
