	// 27.12.2006 // 16:18 // Governors Get Acquainted with Their Staff The Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine Viktor Baloga has introduced newly-elected chairman of oblast state administration Pavel Kachur to the maintenance activists today in Sumy. Opening conference with maintenance activists of the Sumy oblast, Baloga stressed he introduced Kachur by order of the President of Ukraine, and it was “a responsible mission of the head of the Presidential Secretariat on the President’s Native land”. Baloga informed also all legal details concerning appointment of new head of the oblast had been adjusted and question about Kachur’s appointment in the Sumy oblast was a matter of principle for the President. “I hope those problems which are posed by the President will be solved in the Sumy oblast as Viktor Yushchenko has a mood to have consolidation but not a conflict”, said Baloga. Kachur thanked the President for “trust to me to head this sphere” and the Presidential Secretariat – for support in the work. “Main directions of work in our activity are defined by the President in the program Ten steps towards people and his initiatives. It will become basis to continue our joint work in the Sumy oblast”, said Kachur. He stressed plan of actions concerning his guidance the Sumy oblast will be worked out in details the nearest time. “I am a follower of collective work and personal responsibility. And I want every official in the oblast and oblast state administration to build their work on principles of responsibility. Attitude to us will be based on principles of professionalism, patriotism and honesty”, said Kachur to the activists of oblast and invited them “to work together”. Chairman of the Sumy oblast council Vyacheslav Shaposhnik noted all the problems and insinuations concerning this question will be solved by the President’s decree on appointing Kachur at the post of chairman of the Sumy oblast state administration. “This appointment should have positive results for the Sumy oblast. I hope deputy staff of oblast council will understand it and we will cooperate”, said Shaposhnik. The first deputy chairman of the Sumy oblast state administration Vladimir Sapsay wished Kachur Sumy oblast would become the native land for him also. After the end of Kachur’s introduction Baloga left for Zhitomir. He will introduce newly-elected chairman of the state city administration Yuriy Pavlenko. As MIGnews.com.ua informed, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko appointed Kachur chairman of the Sumy oblast state administration by his decree on December, 26. The Head of the state dismissed him from the post of President’s councilor by another decree. New chairman of the Zhitomir oblast state administration Yuriy Pavlenko was introduced to activists of oblast today. He was introduced by deputy head of the Presidential Secretariat Viktor Bondar. Pavlenko took part together with chairman of the Zhitomir oblast council Irina Sinyavskaya and also with Zhitomir mayor Vera Sheludchenko in the ceremonial placing flowers on the Slava monument concerning 63rd anniversary of Zhitomir’s liberation from fascist invaders. Pavlenko thanked the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko for trust to him. He noted he understood complexity of situation in the oblast as according to him the fourth appointment of governor has happened during last two years in the Zhitomir oblast. It does not promote stability of political and social-economical situation. Pavlenko assured that he would do everything “to create basis of stable work in the Zhitomir oblast” during his work at the post of governor. Pavlenko thanked his predecessors and noted he would hope for their support. He also expressed intention “to communicate with deputies of oblast and city councils and also chairmen of district state administrations for posing problems – long-term and short-term ones”. According to Pavlenko, at first he will get acquainted with life of people. He is planning to hold a meeting with heads of factions in the oblast council tomorrow.
