Memorial to Menora, erected in the memory of thousands of shot Jews 65 years ago in the Babiy Yar is profaned by vandals yesterday at night. As it became obvious, this blasphemy has been planned to be held earlier – memorial is destroyed cruelly from several sides. The glass is about 10 mm thick on one of the gravestones, so it was possible to break it with sledge-hammer, prepared for it earlier (or even several ones), and it was committed by people. The foundation of memorable sledge-stone is destroyed also, several steps are broken, and criminals tried to rub off epitaphs on the central memorial sledge-stone.

Now militia patrol, consisted of two sentries, are near Menora. Law enforcement presuppose act of vandalism over the memorial to shot people by fascist was committed by skin-heads or other representatives of radical youth, who had been read xenophobic literature, suggested by the Interregional academy of staff management (IASM) all over Kiev.

We made sure of it while passing over one of the trade centers not far from Menora, where large fascist gammadion is painted by blue paint.

Inquiry. Monument Menora is a bronze semi-candle stone, established in Kiev in Babiy Yar in 90-years of previous century at the place of tragedy, devoted to the memory of victims, who suffered from fascist invaders during 1941-43 years. There more than 100 000 Kiev residents, prisoners of war, prisoners in Gestapo and in the Syrets concentration camp died. About 35 thousand of Jews were shot during two days.

Rally to the memory of victims, suffered from Nazis terror has been gathered near Manora monument every year in the end of September-beginning of October.
