There are no reasons to presuppose that there are cases of pulmonary or any plague, said the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Oleksandr Bilovol. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has confirmed 67 cases of deaths from influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in the Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi Regions. Out of them are 22 cases of deaths from influenza A virus (H1N1) - "Californian". In general, about 255,000 of people are ill with flu and acute respiratory viral infections. 15,000 people are in hospitals and 170 people in the intensive care department. Moreover, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to consider suitability of imposing quarantine in the regions where it has not yet imposed on November 2-3.

Mobile medical teams will appear in the country. The representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine and Prosecutor General's Office will be included into it.

Today, An-30 plane of the Emergencies Ministry delivered medical supplies from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Ternopil and Chernivtsi Regions. Meanwhile, the government established a ceiling on prices of selected medicines and products. In particular, according to the list, wholesale selling price of disposable masks is Hr 0,73, and retail price – Hr 1. The limit wholesale selling price for gauze mask – Hr 1,1, retail – Hr 1,5. The running meter of gauze should cost at most wholesale Hr 1,45, and retail – Hr 2. Maximum retail price of the syringe is Hr 0,7 and wholesale – Hr 0,51. A pair of gloves in retail should cost no more than Hr 1, and wholesale – Hr 0,73. Maximum wholesale price of 10 grams of oxolinic ointment comes to Hr 6,16, and retail – Hr 8,5.

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko intends to demand from the Prosecutor's General Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs prosecution against the owners of pharmacies, which overprice drugs against influenza.

Beginning from November 1, in the Lviv Region all health institutions are working around the clock, and the city council decided to give doctors their cars, work in restaurants and stores is stopped, Sanitary epidemiological station may close stores if the rules are not followed. In Chernivtsi work the country's largest market in the West - the utility company "Kalinowski market" is suspended. In Vinnitsa City Tram-Trolleybus Administration established at the final stops health posts for disinfection of trams and trolley buses to prevent the spread of influenza. Disinfection is being conducted in the catering facilities. In Donetsk all the educational institutions are closed to quarantine. Crimean authorities do not want to let summer visitors leave the peninsula because of the swine influenza. In Kyiv kindergartens are closed for quarantine. The Kyiv City State Administration intends to provide a minimum set of drugs for the prevention of influenza for 300,000 low-income residents and health care providers who work with patients outside the hospital. Odessa suspended the work of industrial markets and holding of cultural events in connection with the quarantine because of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections.

However, the Ukrainian opposition doubts statistics is reliable concerning people who are ill with influenza A (H1N1). "No region has currently test-systems for the diagnosis. Therefore, even if there are people sick with swine flu in some regions, we simply can not identify them," - noted the people's deputy, a member of Party of Regions faction, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health Tatiana Bakhteyeva.

In turn, member of the board of public organization Alliance Maidan Volodymyr Martyniuk suspects authorities of an artificial exaggeration of the epidemic and calls into question its existence. He reminded that the quarantine is declared once at the central level - statistics data on mortality from catarrhal diseases, which caused panic in the society.

06:37 p.m. Today, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has gathered manufacturers of medical equipment and medicines at the meeting. She noted the unwillingness of pharmacy chains for the influenza epidemic, noting that the issue of combating the epidemic of influenza is too engaged into politics. She made an appeal not to confuse regular flu epidemic with some recorded cases of influenza A (H1N1). She said the government intends to purchase additional 400,000 doses of drug against influenza Tamiflu from the company Roche (Switzerland), etc.

By the way, Prime Minister Tymoshenko believes that Ukraine can identify influenza A (H1N1). The Premier criticized politicians who claim that in Ukraine there are no laboratories in which we can identify the presence of influenza A (H1N1).

Meanwhile, the State International Airport Boryspil (Kyiv Region) tightened anti-epidemic measures in connection with the epidemic of influenza A (H1N1) and the spread of acute respiratory viral infections. If a passenger is found with suspicious symptoms, all passengers of flight will get masks.

After landing the aircraft goes to quarantine park, and doctors attend the aircraft and examine patients with suspicious symptoms. If the suspicions are confirmed, the passenger will be taken to hospital. All aircrafts are being disinfected.

Security Service of Ukraine found several violations in the country's pharmacies, in particular, overpricing for medicines, as well as the lack of it for the treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections on November 1-2. This was reported by the press service chief of the SBU Marina Ostapenko. However, she denied the alleged closure of 19 pharmacies.
