Sexual scandal: interview with mother of injured children and new statements of authorities (updated at 10:16 am)
Mother of injured children Elena Polyukhovych and her lawyer, Andriy Tsyhankov do not deny that their telephones are tapped and lawyer does not spend the night at home because of constant pressure from law enforcement agents. Elena Polyukhovych claimed this in a short interview with Novaya newspaper.
According to mother, children could not make it up. "I learned it from the words of my daughter, who at first told me that my ex-husband … (Elena changed countenance and depressed eyes) was touching her. That was in April this year. I was shocked. Therefore I picked up children’s textbooks and we left the house, "- woman says.
She had a conversation with ex-husband the next day. "After it I realized that the child told me the truth. A few days later, when the daughter felt that I believed her, she told me all the details of what happened in Artek and in the apartment in Kyiv. Then I called the police. The police questioned me, children and ... several times refused to initiate criminal proceedings", - Elena Polyukhovych said.
Woman refused to talk about ex-husband, adding that she wants to delete him from both her memory and the memory of children. She also notes that she did not want the case make public. All attempts of suicide, according to her, should be analyzed by psychologists. At the same time, the woman has no doubt her former husband is guilty of it.
According to Elena Polyukhovych, when she gave a statement to police, she did not even imagine such turn of events: She does not know well, who is spreading information about her insanity and dislike for children. She initiated a polygraph test.
"By order of the first vice mayor of Kyiv Irena Kilchytska we are provided with temporary housing. Children do not attend school, the teachers themselves are coming to our house," Helena said.
Mother of children told a little about a man Artem, allegedly close to her: "This guy really exists. And this is my own business. And what he is doing and where he works is not important."
10:16 a.m. The Director General of the International Children's Center Artek Borys Novozhylov insists on bringing to justice of everybody who is involved into harming reputation of Artek.
A MP Serhiy Teryokhyn from The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) hopes for a more objective investigation of a criminal case on perversion of children after taking it to the General Prosecutor's Office in its production. According to him, he has reasons to suspect that the case was transferred in order to delay it. People's deputy noted that will he prevent such attempts.
In turn, the Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko claimed at press conference in Symferopil that he has no claims to the Prosecutor General's Office because of the decision to take the case. According to the Minister, Prosecutor General's Office has the right to demand the case.
As a remnder, according to a MP from the Party of Regions Vadym Kolesnychenko, children had been raped in the International children’s camp Artek. According to MP, high-ranking authorities may be involved into the case. The Interior Ministry received evidence of the injured about involvement of MPs from the Verkhovna Rada to the perversion of children in Crimea, Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko told about it in the air of 5 Kanal.
The case on perversion of adoptees – 12-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter by their father and probable accessories has all chances to be transformed into a grandiose criminal and political scandal. If initially editor-in-chief of Artek magazine (and stepfather of perverted children) Dmytro Poliukhovych, Artek director general Borys Novozhylov and three officials of the camp appeared in the case, then MP from The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) Viktor Ukolov and priest Vadym Paevsky were also included into the case.
On Saturday, October 17 law enforcement agents held investigative experiment in the apartment where allegedly three Mps from BYuT and MP Dmytro Poliukhovych had been organizing sexual orgies since July 2008 till March 2009.

The head of Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuri Lutsenko said that a resident of one of the cities of Ukraine called the Director General of the International Children's Center Artek Borys Novozhylov and threatened to kill him.
