Today it has become known that offices of journalists working in the Lviv newspaper Expres on October 6 were shot by people unknown. "There are bullet holes in the windows. It is traces of firearms. Someone fire at journalists with live ammunition," – is said in a statement of the newspaper on 22 October.
According to the newspaper, this is the third attack, and after each of them, the newspaper appealed to the police, but no one was arrested. Express demands from the Minister of Internal Affairs Yuri Lutsenko to interfere in the situation immediately and take measures on guarantee the safety of journalists, Ukrainian News reports.
There is no evidence of crime, and we will not open the criminal case on two incidents in the editorial office of the Lviv newspaper Expres, the head of the Lviv city Department of Internal Affairs Ihor Tsykalo claimed.
"After investigation was carried out, we ascertained there were no evidence of crime", - said Ihor Tsykalo.
Ihor Tsykalo noted that the investigation is conducted, and in the next day or two law enforcement agents will make a final conclusion, UNIAN reports.
