FIFA commissioner Gerhard Couple made an official report on it. He was taking part in the inspection of “Olimpiyskiy” held together by the International federation and the European football union in early September.
International experts came to conclusion “Troitskiy” partial blocking of exits out the stadium and evacuation backstairs and limited zone for people around “Olimpiyskiy” promote a threat safety for fans greatly.
Gerhard Couple reported if the state of construction or organization of fans’ safety does not meet the requirements, stadium can seat less people.
“Current infrastructure and new construction work around “Olimpiyskiy” will inevitable lead to the great reduction in a number of available seats on the scene”, FIFA inspector reported. “In this case the stadium will not be able to hold EURO-2012 matches. Besides, this use of scene is under threat within the framework of qualified tournament at the world championship-2010.
“Constructions should be dismantled according to the procedure”, NEWSru.ua cites Gerhard Couple as saying.
