Probably, new force, formed around the President Viktor Yushchenko will appear on the Ukrainian political scene. In particular, former Prime-Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov and first deputy of head of President’s Secretariat Ivan Vasyunyck initiate creation of new political project. KommersantÚ-Ukraina reports about it with a reference to its sources in Our Ukraine bloc.
“Previous Prime-Minister is engaged in working out new political project, and Ivan Vasyunyck is an ideologist”, source of edition declared. People’s deputy Nickolay Katerinchuck, leader of Christian-democratic union Vladimir Stretovich and former vice-Premier Vyacheslav Kirilenko are involved also in the creation of new party.
In general, new political force, probably, will have “right-liberal or liberal and conservative ideology”. Edition remarks majority of people, mentioned above, confirmed information in the talk “these projects are being discussed”. “I suppose we have a need to have a new party with clear ideology”, Nickolay Katerinchuck, people’s deputy declared. “”It is hard to believe who could head it….Kirilenko, Stretovich, Khoroshkovskiy (Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy, President Evraz Group – by editorial staff), or Tigipko (Sergey Tigipko, controls financial group TAS – by editorial staff) and certainly, Lutsenko (Yuriy Lutsenko, Interior Minister – by editorial staff) can be”, he added. Nickolay Katerinchuck has not excluded this project may be upheld by the President Viktor Yushchenko who “needs party with certain ideology and on what he could rely”. “I think it could be the party with right-liberal ideology, - deputy presupposed.– But let’s not to settle false starts, let’s wait for party’s congress”.
Vladimir Stretovich declared while answering the question about necessity of creation new party “this idea is in many heads”. “Something is necessary to replace, but it is hard for me to say now whether it will be party or movement”, he explained adding: “New people could head the party, who were not agree with what had happened”.
Besides, former vice-Premier, people’s deputy Vyacheslav Kirilenko has declared there is a need to create “real European project” in Ukraine. “This question is open for discussion objectively, and there are many volunteers to buy it – it is a fact”, the deputy explained. Reporters asked whether Yuriy Yekhanurov, Ivan Vasinyuck and Nickolay Katerinchuck discussed with him this project. Kirilenko said affirmatively: “There were not meetings still in this surrounding”, - former vice-Premier specified.
According to the edition’s information, Yuriy Lutsenko, head of the Interior Ministry is being examined as a probable leader of new party. At the same time Roman Bezsmertny, leader of faction Our Ukraine has answered the following on the question whether he knows about existence of such project: “I know just one pro-President political force- it is Our Ukraine”.
