Ukraine’s General Prosecutor office renewed again investigation on death of Vyacheslav Chornovil, founder of Narodny Rukh.
As Yuriy Boychenko, deputy chief of press-service in the General prosecutor office informed, recurrent complex auto technical expertise was appointed on the death of Vyacheslav Chornovil at the end of July. “All the technical operation factors of this road traffic accident will be checked again, and events of that night are being cleared out”, he remarked. Besides, Yuriy Boychenko added after the end of expertise “conclusions and appropriate procedural decision will be made”. After getting results of recurrent auto technical expertise prosecutor office intends to give the case of Vyacheslav Chornovil into the court.
Vitaliy Shchotkin, deputy General prosecutor controls the investigation process. Besides, investigation of the case is under control of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, Kommersant-Ukraina reports.
As MIGnews.com.ua reported, the Head of the Ukrainian state Viktor Yushchenko took part in the opening memorial to Vyacheslav Chornovil on August, 23. The President of Ukraine informed in his speech he gave the order to hold recurrent investigation of circumstances concerned with the death of Vyachselav Chornovil. In his own opinion, “it was not everyday occurrence”. Viktor Yushchenko has stressed investigation of this very case is a matter of professional and civilian consciousness.
We remind also Vyacheslav Chornovil was dead in the road traffic accident on March, 25 1999, on the eve of President elections. Chornovil’s motorcar ran into KamAZ with trailer which turned round on the road.
As a result of the accident Chornovil and his driver were dead at once, press-secretary of Narodny Rukh of Ukraine (NRU) leader was taken into the hospital with severe injuries. Chornovil’s brothers-in-arms suppose his death a political murder.
