The state tax administration states Ukrainians become more law-abiding – three fourth of citizens pay taxes. Two years ago there were only half of those people.

According to the words of Alexander Kireyev, chief tax officer, tax administration tends to make this process perfect: they propose to introduce tax on real-estate – then it will be unprofitable for speculators to buy up apartments and prices on real-estate may fall down.

Besides, the State tax administration would like to get assessments not only on incomes, but on expenses also – it is called indirect taxation. For example, when firm proclaims low incomes and buys new offices at once – tax administration will count this firm the tax only on what they have purchased.

“I made a visit to the United States last week. There people buy cars or built new villa and then they pay taxes from these expenses. And it is just”, Alexander Kireyev declared.
