Superstar Verka Serdyuchka and some famous popular entertainers, including Irina Bilyk and Mariyka Burmaka, came to the Green party of Ukraine (GPU) central office at 14:00, on Thursday, Feb. 16.

- We are not going to keep silent – we came here to greens to express our viewpoint that we are against bringing the nuclear waste into Ukraine! – Verka Serdyuchka declared. – All of us have heard that nuclear waste from the whole world is planned to be brought into Ukraine. It is horribly! We are so indignant! My Mummy and I were crying the whole night…Now we and our artistic group are going to make a tour over all Ukraine’s cities to protest it and to approve Green party of Ukraine auction under the title “Green ribbon”. Greens struggle with nuclear infection! And we join this struggle!...The whole our staff is green…Irina Bilyk’s eyes are green…And our flower Mariyka Burmaka also…We will travel through all the cities – and the whole Ukraine will be green! Every body will be smiling!

Making agreement with Verka Serdyuchka and other artists on participance in the Green ribbon move, GPU leader Vitaliy Kononov remarked:

- Here are the real patriots of Ukraine! Because patriots are not only people, who wear national clothes. They are the people, who are thinking about the future of the Ukrainian children. There is the threat, because they want Ukraine to be a nuclear waste. We will never let them do it! We will chain ourselves to the cars with nuclear waste, we will be lying on the rails, but there will be no nuclear rubbish in Ukraine!...We are happy that such popular artists have joined us – it means that the youth will be together with us!..

The journalists, who gathered in the Green party of Ukraine office, asked Verka Serdyuchka, why she decided to follow this move.

- It is not politics, it is just life! – Serdyuchka declared. – I am laughing at two TV programs – Distorting mirror and Political advertisement. ..We are not for politics, we are for the real ecology, for our children being healthy!...I will be voting for the greens, because they struggle for it!

As it was informed in the Green party of Ukraine office, concerts of Verka Serdyuchka, Irina Bilyk, Mariyka Burmaka, popular youth band Aviator and other artists will be held during the All-Ukrainian tour almost in all the cities of Ukraine in the support of the Green ribbon move, held by the Green party of Ukraine. This party protests against the bringing the nuclear waste from the whole world into our country. They protest against construction the nuclear burials in Ukraine.
